1. Who we are
ExpiringDocuments ("we", "us") provides a service that helps users track expiry dates of personal documents and sends reminders. Contact: help@expiringdocuments.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data (email, display name, language), document metadata you create (name, type, expiry date, notes, optional renewal URL), optional uploaded attachments, optional Telegram chat ID and phone number for reminders, and basic technical logs.
3. Why we process it
To provide the reminder service, send the notifications you configure, process payments via our payment provider (Stripe), prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Lawful bases under GDPR: contract, consent (notifications) and legitimate interest (security).
4. Sharing
We share data only with sub-processors strictly needed to run the service: hosting, database, email delivery, Telegram, Twilio (WhatsApp/SMS) and Stripe. We never sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, after which personal data is removed within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. Email help@expiringdocuments.com to exercise these rights.
7. International transfers
Some sub-processors are located outside the EEA. Where applicable, we use Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
8. Changes
We will notify you by email of material changes to this policy.
